Biotics Research
Fresh New Label Design
Co-designed with the help of two of my graphic design colleagues.
Biotics Research was looking for a new updated refresh to appeal to a broader audience. The goal was to keep the "Professional look" while modernizing and keeping the core essence of who Biotics Research is.
Before

After

What I brought to the table:
-
Due to the amount of years of being in business, adding EST. 1976 at the top seemed appropriate.
-
To keep a clean and organized look regardless of the length of bullet points, I created more space for the bullet points in between each line and added thin lines to separate and modernize the look.
-
Biotics has several product names that include multiple words and abbreviations, so I suggested to bold part of the product name to bring emphasis and add more dimension to the bottle. One-worded product names will not be in bold.
Process
The direction in the beginning was about showcasing something different, color variation for each category, logo as a secondary focal point, and determining focal points due to "interesting" product names. Yet, still modern. Essentially my focus was coming from a different angle that includes patterns, gradient, and finding that "thing". However, the direction was redirected to keeping as much of a clean look as possible. We did just that.
Below you will find my various iterations.

You will see a sum up of the transition between the labels.
